Labor Day Weekend

Summer's not over yet and we are not ready to stop enjoying it. We had an awesome Labor Day weekend. Brad didn't have to be back to school until Wed morning so we made the most of our long weekend. We started things off with an Indianapolis Indians baseball game, then took off to Michigan to see Aunt Karan.

Brad's Aunt Karan lives on a great little lake in Owosso Michigan. It is a real treat to have family near by since we are so far from home. We love to have a long weekend to get away and go visit her. Anna loved going swimming at the lake and swinging in her back yard. A trip to Karan's house always provides a much needed dose of total relaxation. Here's a few pics from the trip.

Karan and Mike took us to the most incredible Mediterranean restaurant. I think they had the best hummus I have ever eaten. Mmmmm, just thinking about it makes my mouth water. The Sultan Restaurant in Lansing Michigan, if you are ever there you need to check it out.

Brad was really excited to have a chance to play around with his camera and get some 1 year old pictures of Anna. The lighting was perfect, and Anna was ...sort of....cooperative. Still he did a great job and we got these fun pictures.

More food, Karan fixed a fabulous Sunday diner, Steak and potatoes.

Anna loved the kitty, maybe more than the kitty wanted to be loved. She hasn't figured out how to gently control her excitement.

Thanks for a great weekend Aunt Karan we are so glad that we live close.
